Ansible – is an excellent tool for configuration management. But with the growth of infrastructure inevitably arises the issue of the relevance of the inventory file and centralizing storage of hostvars and groupvars. This report will consider an Ansible built-in mechanism “dynamic inventory”, on example of enhanced integration Ansible and Zabbix, which allows to receive hierarchical grouping of hosts, storage and versioning hostvars and groupvars, as well as automatic monitoring of their changes and generating notifications. And all this in a familiar Zabbix web interface.
